Noa kamiya
2026 VISION Fellowship Honorable Mention Recipient
Noa Kamiya (she/her) discovered her passion for dance at age five in Tokyo, Japan. After moving to the United States at ten, she trained at CityDance School & Conservatory in Maryland, studying Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Contemporary Ballet, Umfundalai, and Broadway Jazz, and attending summer intensives with Dance Theatre of Harlem, NDT, ICONS, Philadanco!, Gallim, and Koresh Dance Company. Currently a senior at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Noa will graduate with a BFA in Dance and minors in BEMT (Business, Entertainment, Media, and Technology) and CAMS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies), earning Dean’s Honor mention. AT Tisch, she has performed works by Kayla Farrish, Baye & Asa, Netta Yerushalmy, Sofia Nappi, Dual Rivet, David Dorfman, Doug Varone and Dancers, Gibney Company members, and Evidence Dance, and continues to expand her artistry though programs such as b12 Festival, Jacob’s Pillow, and GagaLab New York. Noa is curious about creating work that is grounded in physicality while capturing the subtleties of human emotion and tenderness.
